Snuggle up with a good book
When was the last time you actually got to sit down and enjoy an amazing book without having to worry about leaving the house soon after? Grab a good book, sit somewhere comfortable and get lost in the pages.
Write down a list of things you’ve been putting off
While we’re stuck at home, now is the best time to start writing down a list of things that you’ve been putting off. What better time than now to start crossing these things off your list?
Eliminate the excuses and follow through. Here’s a tip: write the tips on post it notes and stick them around your room so that you’re always reminded of what needs to be done.
Have you noticed that being home has allowed you to sit with your thoughts a lot more than usual? You may be replaying old thoughts or over thinking situations. Now is the time to start putting any thoughts (both positive and negative) down on paper.
This will allow you to really tap into your feelings and understand why it is you’re feeling the way that you are. Being in quarantine/isolation gives you more time than ever to sit back and reflect.
Practice self care
In order to avoid the spread of COVID-19, we’re forced to stay home. Many of us were too busy to practice self care. In turn, we neglected ourselves.
You deserve to treat yourself to light a candle and relax, run a soothing bath and spend quality time with yourself just to name a few.
Spend time with family
We could never stress this one enough. This world is crazy enough and we never know when it’ll be our time to leave this earth. Hug your loved ones tight while you still have them.
