5 Things You Can Do Right Now to Get Summer Time Fine

aahhhh…

The summer time, cold drinks on the beach while basking in the sun.

This is the time of year where bikinis are in high demand and and everyone wants to get their body right so they can be seen as #goals in the perfect two piece. We’ve all heard that summer bodies are made in the winter.

But, if you just never found the time to get the gym during the winter, we have tips to help you get on the right track.

1. Put the snacks down

You cant be a whole snack while eating all the snacks so put them down!

Getting summer time fine in college is all about balance. You don’t have to completely deprive yourself of the cravings you will naturally have, but eating out everyday is not going to give you that summer body you’re crushing on.

Instead of going for the snacks that are full of sugar and a bunch of artificial crap, take a trip to Whole Foods and start looking for healthier options to satisfy that sugar rush.

2. Exercise

You will be surprised how much exercise you can get in on a busy schedule.

Hint: long walks to class do count!

If you happen to be on campus a little earlier than normal and have a couple of minutes to spare, walk around campus instead of sitting down, take the longer route to class, keep that heart rate pumping!

You should also take the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible. If you cannot afford a gym membership at the moment, go onto campus a little later in the day, pick a flight of stairs and run up and down (students workout on campus all the time).

3. More water, less juice

We would be here all day if we were to name all of the benefits that water has. Unless it’s an all natural fruit smoothie, water is your best option. Andddd… drinking water actually burns calories. Keep a water bottle handy.

Drink water all day errdayy.

4. Follow fitness pages on social media

Whether you choose to follow a fitness blogger on Instagram or join a support group on FB, surround yourself with people who are working on their fitness as well.

We all scroll through social media on the daily, and some days are easier than others. If you happen to see a workout video on your timeline while scrolling, it may give you the extra push you need to head to the gym, walk around campus, drink more water etc.

5. RELAX

Relax.

We are not promising that you will have the perfect body over night, but these tips will help to put you in the right direction. While we suggest that you use social media for inspiration, do not, we repeat, DO NOT compare yourself to anyone, this is YOUR journey and no one else’s.

We suggest that you take it easy the first week or so until your body starts to catch on to your new routine.
