Apple cinnamon oatmeal is the perfect breakfast anyone can make on any given day.
There’s nothing not to love about it. Although it absolutely makes you think of fall, this dish can be served all year round.
The aroma from the crisp, sweet green apples, the cinnamon, butter.. ahhh.. the list just goes on and on. Together, these aromas will make you want to eat it over and over again!
This recipe is perfect for the college student on a budget and/or on the go. It’ll take you 15 minutes top to finish this off and you can even eat it on your way to class. Because you clearly have no time to waste.
Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
2 cups water
1/2 green apple
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp brown sugar
splash of milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Melt butter in a pot and add in apples, mix together
Add cinnamon and mix well. Save a little of the apple mixture for toppings later
Add water and rolled oats. Let simmer until oatmeal thickens
Add brown sugar and milk until mixture is nice and creamy
Add vanilla extract
Serve in your favorite bowl and top with the apple mixture you saved from earlier and sprinkle more cinnamon
